Kazan is a Muslim city it contains four seasons with each special occasions.
Spring.

Mid-March. IV International Organ Festival in Kazan

The festival was established in 2020 and, despite its relatively recent appearance among the major events held by the SASO RT under the leadership of Alexander Sladkovsky, has already managed to find success. The organizers managed to draw up the program in such a way as to show the “king of instruments” – the organ – in various roles.

April 21. Eid al-Adha. Feast of Breaking the Fast or Ramadan Bayram.

Eid al-Adha is a happy day for every Muslim. Festive religious worship is held in a large open space, since a lot of Muslims come to it, tens of thousands of them gather in large cities. This holiday is very fond of children: all kinds of games are arranged for them, and neighbors and relatives, as usual, treat them with sweets and distribute gifts. For participants and guests of the festival “Ramadan Fest” there are animation, power and soap shows, circus numbers with acrobats and various tricks, performance of munajats, nasheeds and poems, as well as master classes and play areas.

01.05.2022 Gastronomic festival “Chak-tea” in Bolgar

The festival is timed to coincide with the opening of the tourist season. The main theme of the event is a contest for the most delicious chak-chak. among manufacturers. The program includes concert numbers, master classes, children’s games.

18.05.2022 International Museum Day

On this day, museums open their doors to everyone for free.

22.05.2022 Festival of Colors

Kazan residents and guests of the city are invited to open bags with colorful powder and arrange a real holiday of color – shower each other with bright powder to live music.

02.06.2022 International Festival of Bell Ringing and Russian Songs “Alexeev Chimes”

The event will bring together bell ringers from all over Russia and neighboring countries. At the festival, bells, Russian songs, performances of vocal groups, the “City of Masters”, an exhibition and sale of folk crafts, shopping arcades, etc. are planned.

14.07.2022 – 17.07.2022 IV Boris Berezovsky International Music Festival “Summer Evenings in Yelabuga”

The International Music Festival is a kaleidoscope of musical genres: symphonic classics, works by Western European composers of the Middle Ages, jazz and ancient Russian spiritual music, folk motives and author’s song. The festival “Summer Evenings in Yelabuga” takes place in the very center of the historical part of Yelabuga – on the Shishkinskiye Ponds. 16.07.2022 Ethno-cultural festival “AGA BAZAAR” in Bolgar

The second half of December. Winter Festival “Kysh da Kar Fest”

Winter festival in Kazan with delicious products, unusual gifts and Christmas atmosphere.

4-6.01.2023 Festival of creative sleds.

The festival will be held in nine cities of Tatarstan and will consist of two parts. The first is a presentation and a parade of sleds, the second is a slide down the mountain. Winners and prize-winners will have an impressive prize fund.

 

Early February. Winter Historical Festival “Kysh Batyr. Winter Games” in Bolgar

Participants of the festival compete in agility, strength, vigilance, knowledge of historical facts, speed. Competitions are held on a site stylized as a medieval city.

From February 28. Shrovetide Week

Festivities and celebrations of Shrovetide Week will begin throughout the republic.
